I am very excited to have been invited to Jo Good's "The Barking Hour", on BBC London Radio on the 20th of October. If you would like to listen to me talking about grooming and my new business Waggy Wagon, please follow this link, it is at 02:26 on the programme.

When I initially wrote to Jo Good,I really wasn't expecting to hear back from her, especially not quite so quickly.
I sent my email over the weekend and she invited me in for Thursday ! I was so nervous arriving at BBC broadcasting house. I wasn't sure what sort of questions she would ask, and was worried I would make a fool of myself.
As soon as I arrived they escorted me into the studio, sat me close up to a huge microfone and the interview kicked off. Jo and Anna were amazing! They made me feel at ease right from the start, and encouraged me to talk about Waggy Wagon. They both are, as I am myself, genuine dog lovers, and their interest in the grooming process and enthusiasm for what I do made me feel proud to be talking on national radio.
Of course, in hindsight I know what I would say differently. For example I didn't mention the fact that I have completed a City&Guilds Level III course in dog grooming, which is an accredited and well respected qualification. I also forgot to mention that my van has all the mod cons of a fully working salon, with a warm water hydro bath, heated towels, a finishing dryer, an electricgrooming table and that I use the best quality organic dog shampoos that you can possibly get in the UK.
However the feedback I have had since, from friends, family and potential clientshas been very positive and I am told I did really well.
I am so grateful for Jo , Anna and their team for giving me the opportunity to promote my business in these early stages.
It was an amazing experience and I hope to appear on the BBC Radio Women's Hour next. ;) watch this space!
